Kaweepoj Phacharintanakul (Wee)

  • How exactly is it pronounced?

    • KA-WEE-POJ <Say-itTM> (The 'J' ending is more pronounced like a 'T'.)

    • PHA-CHA-RIN-TA-NA-KUL <Say-itTM> (The 'L' ending is pronounced like an 'N'.)

  • So why it is so long.

Biosketch

I was born in Thailand, a country in Southeast Asia. Our family lives in Bangkok, the national capital. That is where I was for the most of my time until I finished my college from Chulalongkorn University when I was 21. Then I came to America at the University of Michigan for my Master's degree.

I have spent a bit of time here and there living as an expatriate and made a lot of travels to many countries. I went to Kindergarten in Frankfurt am Main, Germany where our family had lived for two years. Than I was back to Thailand. There, I went to Assumption College, founded by a French reverend some 100 years ago, for primary and junior high schools. My high school is Triam Udom Suksa, a public school in Bangkok.

In 1996, I went to Chulalongkorn University where I studied Electrical Engineering and graduated with a Bachelor degree. Then I came here to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I am now a graduate student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a major in Electrical Engineering: System with a specialization in Signal Processing and a minor in Computer Science.
